This is because you want people to know how good, attractive, generous, funny, wild and clever you really are.
We share an addiction.
We’re approval junkies.
We’re all in it for the slap on the back and the gold watch.
The hip-hip-hoo-fuckin’-rah.
In every game and con there’s always an opponent,
And there’s always a victim.
The trick is to know when you’re the latter,
So you can become the former.
In every game there are always one set of rules.
1. The only way to get smarter is by playing a smarter opponent.
2. The more sophisticated the game, the more sophisticated the opponent.
The formula’s the same, but where does the game stop? It stops when you start to get answers.
You’ll think that head games are being played with you.
But is it me that’s playing head games with you?
It’s that one voice you’ve heard for so long you believe it to be you.
That’s the greatest con it has ever pulled, it convincing you that it is you.
You believe it to be your best friend.
You believe your opponent would be your best friend.
Where is the best place an opponent should hide?
In the very last place you would ever look.
It’s pretending to be you.
You’re in a game.
You’re in the game.
Everybody is in this game, but nobody knows it.
It’s in everybody’s head, but nobody think it exists.
Because it told them it doesn’t exist.
It tells you what to do.
How to do it.
And when to do it.
Eventually when the opponent is challenged or questioned,
It means the victim’s investment and thus his intelligence is questioned.
No one can accept that.
Not even to themselves.
It’s behind all the pain there ever was.
Every crime ever committed.
And right now it’s telling you it doesn’t even exists.
This game that you and everybody else is in,
Is also a war.
The only war is with the only enemy that has ever existed.
The only enemy that does exist, is an eternal one.
And you think it’s your best friend.
Usually you’d protect your best friend with everything you’ve got.
Where is the best place an opponent should hide?
In the very last place you’ll ever look.
It’s hiding behind your pain.
Embrace the pain, and you’ll win this game.
The more power you think you have in it’s world,
The less power you have in the real world.
